Supplementary environmental assessment was carried out in the “Rózsás” farm near the village Kismarja, including the evaluation of the available geology, soil and groundwater contamination data, drilling soil boring, soil and groundwater samplin and on-site and laboratory analysis.
Hydrocarbon contamination was found in the soil and groundwater above the action level as a possible result of former site activities such as storage and manipulation of fuel, grease and oil. Delineation of contamination required 12 shallow and 2 deep boreholes. The contaminated volume determined for groundwater was 5.160 m3 with 4.590 m2 surface. Remediation action plan proposed to remove the 2 USTs (20 m3 each), ex-situ, on-site groundwater tratment with drainage system, filtering and biological post-treatment.
