95 soil drillings were made, soil and ground water samples were taken and analysed for TPH and heavy metals in order to delineate contaminated soil and ground water of an illegal sewage disposal site having several reservoirs.
We have found that the South-East part of the property is only lightly contaminated not requiring any remediation action. However we measured TPH,
As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb and Zn concentrations mainly in the topsoil higher than the remediation
target values in 2650 t soil.
Action remediation plan was made containing partly soil excavation and backfilling,
partly on-site biological remediation (vermiremediation).
