20 bore holes were made (6 m deep each), soil and ground water samples were taken and analysed on-site and in the laboratory.

We stated that soil of the studied area is contaminated by TPH and other alkyl benzols above contamination level (“B” value). Surface projection of TPH contamination above “B” value is 408 m2, above “D” value is 100 m2, volume contaminated by TPH above “B value” is 816 m3, above “D” value is 200 m3. Volume contaminated by TPH above “B” value contains 3.182 kg, above “D” value 510 kg TPH resp.

Surface projection of other alkyl benzols contamination above “B” value is 492 m2, above “D” value is 76 m2, volume contaminated by other alkyl benzols above “B value” is 984 m3, above “D” value is 152 m3. Volume contaminated by other alkyl benzols above “B” value contains 10 kg, above “D” value 0,46 kg other alkyl benzols resp.

Surface and deepness of soil contaminated by TPH above remediation target level (“D” value) contains the surface and deepnes of soil contaminated by other alkyl benzols above “D” value.

Ground water of the studied area is contaminated by TPH, other alkyl benzols, PAH, naphtalens and pyridine above contamination level (“B” value). Surface projection of TPH contamination above “B” value is 1.044 m2, above “D” value is 707 m2, volume contaminated by TPH above “B value” is 940 m3, above “D” value is 636 m3. Volume contaminated by TPH above “B” value contains 11 kg, above “D” value 7 kg TPH resp. Surface projection of free TPH phase is 187 m2, it means 15 kg TPH to be removed in the case of 0,5 mm thickness as an average.

Surface projection of other alkyl benzols contamination above “B” value is 644 m2, above “D” value is 34 m2, volume contaminated by other alkyl benzols above “B value” is 580 m3, above “D” value is 31 m3. Volume contaminated by other alkyl benzols above “B” value contains 0,06 kg, above “D” value 0,0004 kg other alkyl benzols resp.

Surface projection of PAH contamination above “B” value is 981 m2, above “D” value is 607 m2, volume contaminated by PAH above “B value” is 883 m3, above “D” value is 546 m3. Volume contaminated by PAH above “B” value contains 0,08 kg, above “D” value 0,05 kg PAH resp.

Surface projection of naphtalenes contamination above “B” value is 1.032 m2, above “D” value is 165 m2, volume contaminated by naphtalenes above “B value” is 929 m3, above “D” value is 149 m3. Volume contaminated by naphtalenes above “B” value contains 0,2 kg, above “D” value 0,02 kg naphtalenes resp.

Surface projection of pyridine contamination above “B” value is 404 m2, above “D” value is 0 m2, volume contaminated by pyridine above “B value” is 364 m3, above “D” value is 0 m3. Volume contaminated by pyridine above “B” value contains 0,0003 kg, above “D” value 0 kg pyridine resp.

Remediation action plan suggests soil digging out and backfilling and pump and treat ground water treatment
